These percentages show your relative position with the rest of your team. Since each week you train and race on the same courses and under the same conditions, you should expect that your time and everyone else's times would improve or worsen equally.  
   
If some one were to start out the season at a 80% relative position then staying at or about 80% all year means that that person is improving at the same rate as the rest of the team.
   
If, on the other hand, the percentage changes, then it means that person is improving faster or slower than the rest of the team.
   
Those that start out at a lower number frequently do improve at a faster rate up to a certain point.  
   
These numbers will show when we have truly good or bad days, even when the times themselves aren't so obvious.
